The Anti Critic, Steve Chapman: Episode 1 – Bill Traylor

20 2

Steve Chapman is the Some Good Ideas' Anti Critic. Each month Steve will discuss an artist typically underrepresented in the art world. This month Steve highlights the work of Bill Traylor. Bill Traylor was an African American born into slavery in 1853. He started painting at the age of 70 when homeless and living on the streets. His incredible work is now worth a fortune, but sadly Traylor never saw any of the money.
