Keep Sowing: Seeds to Sow All Year Round

We have seen over recent years, a tendency for people to only sow in the Springtime, however the key to extending your harvest through to Autumn and Winter, is to continue to sow seeds throughout the year.

 

Now is the time to sow:
Brassicas, from cabbage and kale. Broccoli and pac choymizuna ,kohl rabicima di rapa to cauliflowers, Chinese cabbage, fennel and flat-leaf parsley.

In March sow: spring onion, pepper, tomato, aubergine, courgette, beetroot, chickpea, cauliflower, onion, broad bean, fennel, pea, leek, parsley, radish, celery, spinach, N.Z. spinach, cress, chive, sage, asparagus, basil, carrot, cucumber, chicory, endive, lettuce, parsnip, pumpkin, squash, wild fennel, lavender, mint, oregano, sage, summer savoy, thyme.

In April sow: pepper, tomato, aubergine, courgette, beetroot, chickpea, onion, fennel, pea, leek, parsley, radish, celery, spinach, N.Z. spinach, cress, chive, rue, sage, lovage, asparagus, basil, beet, carrot, cucumber, chicory, endive, lettuce, parsnip, pumpkin, squash, wild fennel, lavender, sweet marjoram, mint, oregano, sage, summer savoy, thyme, bean, borlotti, strawberry, sweet corn, okra, rocket, salsify, scorzonera, lambs lettuce, sorrel, dill, camomile, caper, coriander, oregano.

In October sow: onion, broad bean, pea, spinach, N.Z. spinach, cress, lettuce, corn salad, rampion.

In November sow: garlic, onion, broad bean, pea, cress.

In December sow: garlic, onion, broad bean.
