Through my work at Pedlars, heading up our Vintage Marketplace, I was in daily contact with some of the finest vintage dealers working in Britain. We sold a lot of their stuff and made friendships along the way.

Here are my top 10 industrial vintage dealers to explore online today:

1. Otto’s Antiques

Gloucester-based aficionados of all things industrial; often salvaged from European warehouses in significant numbers. Their red/orange handed factory clocks are a real winner.

2. Hunters of London

Often sleek, and always cool, Jemma at Hunters knows a standout piece when she sees it.

3. Merchant & Found

Paul is a collector on a grand scale. The sheer volume of his -predominantly industrial- stock is mind-boggling. From bulkhead lighting to lockers and milk crates to pigeon hole cabinets, you’re certainly spoiled for choice.

4. Mayfly Vintage

Founder, Helen, was a perennial dealer with us at Pedlars, and an early adopter of our Vintage Marketplace. A great lover of industrial style, Mayfly Vintage also come in as one of the best-priced dealers of good vintage stock.

5. Antiques Workshop

Tom and Richard are cousins, neighbours and co-founders of this great, tight collection of industrial vintage lighting, clocks and -occasionally- furniture. As with many top dealers, Tom and Richard know their way around a workshop, so their items are always in top condition.

6. Blue Ticking

Specialists in children’s furniture and storage, Helen and her partner John are the people to see for adding industrial style to your children’s bedroom, from desks and bookcases to their very own storage/stool design, The Maggie.

7. SALVATION_glasgow

Iain was a real coup for us at Pedlars. He was that rare thing, a person with exceptional taste, a great eye for photography, and a man who prices his pieces to sell. It’s not wall-to-wall industrial, but you’ll love it nonetheless.

8. Paul & Lucy Vintage

We’ve known Paul and Lucy for a number of years, often buying their stock at markets like Kempton and Newark. They were a natural fit for our style at Pedlars and -when it was right- we sold their stock by the bucketload. We love their potter’s boards.

9. Scaramanga

A heavily Indian-influenced collection of vintage of all shapes and sizes. We didn’t work directly with the team at Scaramanga - but we did keep an eye out for their latest stock drops.

10. Mr Black Cat Smokey

Vintage typography, often in your initials or for your house number, is many people’s gateway into the world of vintage. These guys source serious volumes of vintage numbers and letters, so they’re bound to have your letter in just the right colour and font for you.
