We have seen over recent years, a tendency for people to only sow in the springtime, however the key to extending your harvest through to autumn and winter, is to continue to sow seeds throughout the year.

 
 
 

In January sow:

Spring onion, pepper, tomato, aubergine, courgette,

 
 
 

In February sow:

Spring onion, pepper, tomato, aubergine, courgette, beetroot, chickpea, onion, broad bean, fennel, pea, leek, parsley, radish, celery, spinach, cress, chive, rue, sage.

 
 
 
 

In March sow:

Spring onion, pepper, tomato, aubergine, courgette, beetroot, chickpea, cauliflower, onion, broad bean, fennel, pea, leek, parsley, radish, celery, spinach, N.Z. spinach, cress, chive, sage, asparagus, basil, carrot, cucumber, chicory, endive, lettuce, parsnip, pumpkin, squash, wild fennel, lavender, mint, oregano, sage, summer savoy, thyme.

 
 
 

In April sow:
